Frank Peter Setliff, Sr.

Frank Peter Setliff, Sr., 88, of 1412 Reed Creek Drive, Bassett, VA died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, VA. He was born on April 27, 1922 in Fieldale, VA to the late Ada Bryant Setliff and Peter Thomas Setliff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bessie Tilley and six brothers, Percy Setliff, Leonard Steliff, Lester Setliff, Raymond Setliff, Basil Setliff and Russell Setliff.
　
Mr. Setliff was a member of the Fieldale Baptist Church where he served as Sunday school teacher, deacon, trustee and choir member. Also, he was a member of the DOW Sunday School Class. He graduated from Fieldale High School and attended the University of Virginia. Mr. Setliff owned and operated Setliff Insulation of Collinsville, VA and served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
　
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Fox Setliff of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Frank Peter " Pete" Setliff, Jr. and Karyn Setliff of Oakville, Ontario; one grandson, Gregory Peter Setliff of Kutztown, PA; two step-grandchildren, Gayle Goldstein of Oakville, Ontario and Jason Goldstein of Lake View, NY and three great-grandchildren, Lexi Setliff, Vivian Setliff and Ella Goldstein-Brown.
　
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel with Reverend Richard Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 1412 Reed Creek Drive, Bassett, VA.
